The Dems need to continue to make this about the issues, and in the
process, this will point out the total lack of qualifications that Palin has. I've been looking everywhere, and all I can really find relating to the issues about Palin is the following:

1. Anti-choice, even in the cases of incest/rape.
2. Anti-gay - wants a Constitutional amendment to deprive partners of any rights.
3. Anti-evolution - believes creationim should be taught in schools.
4. Pro Big Oil
5. Anti-environment - kill wolves/bears, polar bears aren't endangered and global warming is a myth.
6. Anti-stem cell research
7. Pro-Iraq - I think, but that one is harder to pin down.

As far as I can tell, that is all we know about where she stands. And for the most part, these are all to the right of McCain. I think that every time they talk about the issues, they need to mention that Palin has no known position on that particular issue, or mention her position if she has one.

If the electorate keeps hearing over and over that Palin "has no known position" on everything from Russia/China, to trade, to foreclosure, to health care, and that her positions that we know of are even more draconian than McSame, they will come to understand how dangerous this is.

Oh, and it can't hurt to point out that she has no problem with misusing the power of her office to accomplish her own personal agenda. We've had enough of that with the Bushies, and no way do we want another bully in office.

1. Absolutely. It is time to stop the distraction over that choice and start debating the issues
Roe V Wade will be overturned if we lose this time, plus the control of the government against its citizens will be greatly threatened to the degree that our republic is in danger if they win

3. The media is already starting on the "sexist" Dems storyline. Talking
about how so many people are criticizing Palin for having a Down's baby and working. We won't win on that point, and it will distract from the actual things that matter.

5. I will not be watching the MSM, but it doesn't surprise me. They tried the same talking point
before OUR Convention, saying that we were extremely divided.

After they had egg all over their face, it became apparant that we were more united than ever

This ISN'T about the VP, but about where mccain stands on the issues, and that is where we MUST focus

6. We are going to have 60 Senators (I hope)
Even if we don't take the WH, we should have a Senate with backbone who will force McCain more to the middle.

Of course, I think we're going to WIN this thing. But even if we don't, if our Democratic Senate does its job, we could be saved from our worst nightmares, at least.

2. Agreed -- crazy choice but also rovian in a way...

...if attacked directly on her experience, Republican talking heads will just use it to tell lies about Obama's level of experience.

Now if the Obama campaign can get their surrogates and supporters to beef up their knowledge of his career that won't be a problem. But if they shortcut and try to bring up Biden, well, the Republicans know that voters know that Palin is much more likely to become president due to McCain's age.

4. That's the point. No need to even really use the word "experience". It's
totally about lack of knowledge, or at least lack of stated knowledge.

I can see the debate with Biden now. She is going to do nothing but spout McSame's talking points. There will be nothing there. I don't see that she has an opinion,or the knowledge or exposure to the issues to be able to compete.
