2. The crash & burn could be very fast, very soon.
All this scandal stuff could bring her down like Tom Eagleton in '72.

5. Yeah, I agree.
And the scandal that ends it might not be the stuff that's being discussed now about the trooper.

7. True indeed.
My initial impression of her is that she's a narcissistic little twit who thinks the world revolves around her, and who waded out beyond her intellectual depth when she got on the City Council. With no thoughts beyond her own immediate interests, it wouldn't occur to her that there are things she shouldn't do because they are immoral, illegal or stupid. There's no telling what kind of trail of malfeasance and orruption she has left behind her. The whole family sounds like a nest of vipers who have stayed more-or-less out of legal trouble because they have enough money to keep their teeth fixed.

3. Yeah, except that they threw Katherine Harris under the bus.
And, Palin ended up in the VP slot.

8. I don't think we can rule out the possibility that Sara ends up under the "Straight Talk Express"
In fact, given the crap that has come out in just one day, I would say it is a distinct possibility. I will make a prediction. If the Republicans postpone their convention because of Gustav, Sara will not end up as the VP nominee.

11. Possible, though it would be out of character.
Harris is one of the few notable exceptions to the rule. Usually, the Republicans not only *don't* back down in the face of scandal, they usually rally the troops and become even more supportive of the scandalized.

4. Harris was not a heartbeat from the button...you know...that button.

13. She reminds me of Minnesota's Michelle Bachman
Are both those Republicans being played by the same actress?

14. She's just as shallow
and seems to be just as shrill.

I was an Obama supporter through the primaries, and let me say this: How DARE this airhead with no qualifications compare herself to Hillary Clinton? Had HRC won the nomination I would be supporting her enthusiastically because I am a DEMOCRAT. Wellesley, Yale Law, counsel to the House Judiciary Committee, successful attorney, outstanding First Lady, distinguished Senator, hard campaigner, feminist from day one, battler for women's rights and equal pay for equal work and many other just and noble causes. What does Palin's resume have that can even begin to compare to HRC's substance and experience?

Palin couldn't get hired as an executive assistant in HRC's senate office and couldn't carry the Senator's bags. Three years ago, HRC was in the Senate making a difference; Palin was mayor of a jerkwater town of 5000 people. This silly little flibbertigibbet is an insult to every Democratic woman, every Republican woman (shit, Condimelda would sparkle in comparison) and to every intelligent voter in this country.

And I am a white guy raised in the suburbs.
