The Palin choice has moved McCain's age front and center

as an issue. Having opened that door, we need to keep asking questions that focus on how old he is and how many times he has dealt with cancer. I wonder whether they thought this through. This has all the earmarks of a hurried, impulsive decision on McCain's part. The convention and the speech effectively put the election out of the GOP's reach without a massive gamble.
