I get it NOW!!!!!!!!
Edited on Fri Aug-29-08 05:04 PM by Timmy5835
The GOP machine never really wanted to win this election. That's why McCain got the nod and he picked such a lame running mate. The machine knows that things are FUBAR and they can't fix it. If a Republican were to win you would most likely get the status que or worse. That formula could render the GOP useless for a generation and they don't want that. A better plan would be to let Obama win, watch him flop around for 4 years and then come back as the men in white hats. McCain's VP choice came from the machine (Rove). McCain would have much better liked his buddy Joe or picked a much stronger woman. This pick makes NO sense, Unless you don't want to win.

2. You dismiss the possibility of Obama being an outstanding President and the Repugs losing even
worse in 2012, including more senate and house seats

3. motown, you're not thinking like a rethug
they have no concept of competence or effectiveness, so cannot even imagine what a united democratic front, with congress and executive branch controlled by a single competent party can accomplish.

rethugs are the party of death and destruction. dems are the party of hope and rebuilding.

5. Dishrag Theory
Once all the good is wrung out of the fabric of state, the only thing it's good for is a dishrag, and it's tossed off to the people. That's us in this case, maybe.
