But Why Did Palin Even Accept The VP Nomination?
I was under the impression that she's always wanted to be...A LUMBERJACK!

As Americans, the first thing Palin will demand of us, as her constituents, is to find her...a shrubbery!

The second thing Palin will demand of us as Americans is to find her...another shrubbery!

And if that doesn't work, she'll subject us to...the comfy chair! And the soft pillows! Lookout, bin Laden!

But in all reality, I think she's going to spend much of the next few weeks trying to convince us that McCain's "just resting" and "pining for the fjords". Which is ironic, because if McCain wasn't nailed to the military-industrial complex, he'd be pushing up the daisies.

Palin? Meh. Doesn't do much one way or the other, except give us a chance to get HRC more exposure through 'til Election Day. At least we get to make Python jokes 'til November. Anyone care to join me?

3. Why did she accept it? Because it's the chance of a lifetime.
How many people can put "Vice Presidential nominee" on their resumes?

Hell, I'd take it even if I knew that it was a losing proposition. Her future life in either politics or lobbying would be rock solid.
