Palin on creationism and science: 'Teach both!"
http://www.boston.com/news/local/articles_of_faith/2008/08/sarah_palin_on.html

And earlier that year, the Anchorage Daily News reported that Palin said the following about creationism at a debate:

"Teach both. You know, don't be afraid of information....Healthy debate is so important and it's so valuable in our schools. I am a proponent of teaching both. And you know, I say this too as the daughter of a science teacher. Growing up with being so privileged and blessed to be given a lot of information on, on both sides of the subject -- creationism and evolution. It's been a healthy foundation for me. But don't be afraid of information and let kids debate both sides."

1. Creationism has been proven in court to be a pro-religious viewpoint
with no scientific basis.

2. Last time I checked, there isn't much "information" in creationism...
...it's all about checking yer bible. All the facts are right there, just before the part with the talking snakes and the naked people.

4. It's true,' cause it's in the Bible. And the Bible is true 'cause the Bible says so.

6. As a recovering Fundy...
I always like to say that my ancient mythical texts supersede your ancient mythical texts... but I stop just short of saying my Goddess Inanna can beat the crap out of your Mythical Cloud Being:)

We can't possibly force all Americans to follow the rules of all religions, therefore, we should not be forcing one religion's rules on anyone else. Besides, I've yet to find scripture in the Bible that says Jesus want us to force his rules on everyone. That makes Fundy heads spin too... :)

3. Um, no.
Creationism does not belong in public schools.

There are some religious beliefs that count Creationism as compatible with science, but those should be taught only in churches and religious private schools.

8. Yep...
If we teach one religion's myths, we must teach the myths of ALL religions.

10. Creationism is religious dogma based 100% on a religious text.
Sorry. We don't allow state support of a particular religion in America. I bet she didn't learn that in christianhomeschool.
