First of all, as a first, you are put up to these impossibly high standards that you need to meet. Otherwise, you just fucking make the cause fall back a hundred years. When people see her performance and take that to be representative of women in politics, this means that we have that much more sexism to combat because it's been "verified" in their minds that women are inferior. Way to fucking go for misogyny, McCain. I've never been so fucking mad. It's just starting to hit me and I'm about to cry just out of disappointment that this one move could really blow it for all women.

The same thought occured to me, but then there's this: the crazies will be reassured they are right; the evolved are smart enough to see this for what it is.

There really are no swing-voters on this issue. If some don't see the certainty of male/female equality it's because they don't want to and probably never will. Schools need to teach equality, and youngsters need to go to school. RWers will home-school their kids with her as an example, perhaps, but those are lost to us anyway.
