Geraldine Ferraro: Almost endorses McCain...attacks Dean and Obama on Fox.
She seems to have made Fox News her home now. I was really surprised to read this statement from her. I thought we were getting beyond this sexist stuff, and moving on.

Geraldine Ferraro: This Might Do It for McCain

She is still blaming the Obama campaign and Howard Dean because Hillary lost.

By Geraldine Ferraro
Former Democratic Vice Presidential Candidate/FOX News Political Contributor

It’s going to be a very interesting campaign. I must say that several months ago I said that it would be great if there was a woman on the ticket — that I felt that John McCain would have to pick someone, especially if Hillary was the nominee. But without Hillary being the nominee it’s really quite equally as important because people are looking for a smart campaign and I think this might do it.

There are a lot of women who are disaffected by how Hillary was treated by the media, by how she was treated by the Obama campaign, by how she was treated by the Democratic National Committee — Democratic party chairman Howard Dean not speaking up when sexism raised its ugly head in the media. They’ll be looking to see what happens now.

That's a threat, and not really a veiled one.

I am sick and tired of blame being put on Dean, but it is not surprising. It went on all during the primaries from the former candidate and her hubby and from the Florida Democrats. Not to mention the media.

Someone needs to sit down and have a very long chat with Geraldine Ferraro very soon.

Howard Dean deserves better. Barack Obama deserves better than having a former Democratic VP candidate attack them openly. Shame on her.

And I will continue to mention that, after all the Democratic talking heads and their right wing utterances about what a poor fundraiser Dean has been......I will keep on posting this now and then to remind them.

In spite of all the flak...Howard Dean outraised Terry McAuliffe

From Jan. 1, 2001, when Terence R. McAuliffe took over the committee, through March 31, 2004, the DNC raised approximately $127 million in funds that could be spent directly on campaign activities. Between Jan. 1, 2005, and March 2008, the DNC raised $190 million, considerably more.

So thank you, Howard Dean for following the party rules.

And will someone have that talk with Geraldine soon?

If a person genuinely is fond of someone you usually respect their opinion. I am bemused where she stands now. Hillary adamantly stated "She proudly supports Barack Obama."

16. The Clintons did the right thing at the convention. BUT
But I said during the primaries that the anger and lies had gone too far to be stopped that easily.

It's a shame, but I was right. It is still the primaries playing out, and the Clintons are probably unable to stop much of it.

when he selected the Alaskan lady. Who knows if it has any milage after the GOP convention. Obama,Deean and the DNC crushed the Clinton dual so I have no worries regarding them doing the same to McCain and the Alaskan VP lady...I forget her name, sorry.

Maybe I am misunderstanding your statement. I hope so.

Obama and Dean crushed no one at all.

19. Her and Libermann
I didn't like them as VP choices and both almost stopped me from even voting those years, but I held my nose and did it...but they sure are showing the problem of choosing a right leaning Dem as a running mate...it always comes back at the party in future years...

the rest just don't want to admit it.

And did I forget to say that Geraldine Ferraro is irrelevant?

26. I disagree. Fox News is on in many places of businesses here, offices.
People pay attention to them still.

I know a couple who are Democrats, but they are addicted to Fox. yes, they are Democrats. But they called one day to ask if Obama was a muslim.

Fox works, and someone in leadership should have a talk with Geraldine.

I doubt she would talk to Obama or Dean...so who does that leave? Hm....

Mondale is such a great man, it's a shame he made such a foolish choice for VP.

28. The first general election I worked was Mondale/Ferraro
I was 12 and worked outside my school, which was also the polling place. In that election (and again in 1988)lots of people got over Jesse Jackson's losses without too much angst or threats to leave the party. She would do well to remember those lessons. I'm sure that she and Mondale got the usual 90% of votes cast by Blacks. Return the favor.

29. Quite frankly she needs to hush .
And I think she, like some others in the party who accused Dean of throwing the primary, need to apologize.

I heard Wolfson today praising the Palin pick.
