Is it just me...or is McCain's Palin VP choice INCREDIBLY transparent...?

McCain has already outed his strategy of trying to "peel away" disaffected Hillary Clinton supporters. My question for any that are still hanging around here is, does his choice of a woman VP seem like a transparent and calculating move to court you, and a play in the world of identity politics as it does to me? It's not as if their party has been overly concerned about women's struggles and issues before.

I believe that, for good or ill, there is only ONE Hillary Clinton. I hope no one is impressed by this, or is willing to accept imitations.

he looks at what's before him and reacts.

He was just looking at all the other choices, and getting some serious stomach pain,
so he went for a generic brand of antacid that no one has ever tried before, figuring
it was new, and couldn't be worse than anything else he had to choose from.
