2. Not fair to people of New Orleans.
How much more must they suffer because we have been irresponsible in our energy usage?

Also I have been monitoring the storm, as I always do because I live in So Florida....if the storm doesn't get stronger soon it might not go north and continue west into Yucatan, let's pray it doesn't get stronger

6. Did you hear that George Bush's...
...speech at the Republican Convention might be postponed, or that he might
do it via satellite--due to this hurricane?

Evidently, he's meeting with his FEMA people, and they're making decisions as
information about Gustav develops.

It appears that the Republicans are trying to avoid a worst-case-Convention
scenario. Can you imagine, a hurricane pummeling our country, while the
Republicans party it up in Minnesota? The MSM could have a split screen--
houses being destroyed on the left hand of the screen, and Republicans
guffawing and slapping each other's backs on the right hand of the screen.

Talk about a PR coup for the Democrats.

I am actually shocked that Bush is talking with anyone at FEMA, and I'm
astounded that these psychopaths are actually thinking ahead--about how
their actions would look and affect others. Usually, they don't give
a rat's ass.

I guess when there's a Presidential election at stake, they care more
about PR.
