The whole crew just runs amok gleefully tearing down Senator Kerry!
Bill Schneider is absolutely slobbering over his perception that the (p)resident is ahead in electoral votes, 'cause of 3 states (MO, OH, and WI)and the LA Times poll. I sent this e-mail after I had heard it one too many times!
I have heard comments continually today regarding the electoral college. The report has focused on 3 swing states, OH, MO AND WI ---purple states, as you have referred to them---to point out how well the president is doing, and how the senator is falling. You even seem to delight in WI, pointing out that Gore won that state in 2000, but Bush is winning now. Perhaps you have missed the Zogby poll of August 21. Look at NH, NV and TN. All three are states won by Bush in 2000, in which Kerry is currently leading. They total 20 electoral votes. The math is simple: 271(Bush, 2000)-20(NH, NV,TN)+ 10(WI)= 261 266(Gore, 2000)-10(WI)+ 20(NH, NV, TN) = 276.....Kerry wins!!!!!
Will we see this pointed out? I tend to doubt it.
