1. IT's a half news cycle thing
It's no big deal.

This is kind of like the movies showing a cartoon after the main feature.

5. I doubt Rove really cares what we focus on here on DU
Obama was brilliant last night and made a real impact on the race. The battle is joined and Obama shows his true mettle.

6. I firmly believe
once McCain's vice presidential nominee is announce the Republicans will slip back into being irrelevant. Plus just think of how much fun we will have on DU talking about how Biden will tear apart ANYONE McCain picks!!!

10. Exactly...Who cares what time the VP event is, who the person is?
But this shows how the discussion goes from rove's talking points emailed to the MSM, where they are used to monopolize the discussion. Then, viewers get caught up in the talking points and appear to be interested. I'll find out about McMummy's VP choice after it happens and I don't need to know in advance or right away when it is announced.

Obama, the Clintons, Biden and everyone else involved in the Democratic convention deserve kudos for a job very well done. The entire event last night was as close to perfect as you can get and that wasn't easy to do. Last night, even RWers like Fred Barnes were indicting how impressed they were with the Obama speech and event but that was before they got today's talking points.
