4. Doubtful - but he would be a real problem for us
Edited on Fri Aug-29-08 08:13 AM by TornadoTN
He has that "outsider" appeal, whether its real or not is open for debate. He claims to be an "independent" and receives high marks across the country. He could be a real problem if it is him, although I would put my money on Biden in a 1 on 1.

That being said - for him to align with McCain (Bush) would destroy any amount of "independence" and "outsider" appeal he has. I doubt he would do that - I hear that he might shoot for Governor or Senate.

5. Bloomberg? No. A "liberal" pro-choice New York Jew?
Gets him nothing, and might lose him his southern Fundie base.

6. I don't think so
I remember that he said the gas tax holiday was the most stupid idea he has ever heard. But I guess anything's possible.

7. Bloomberg's not a Republican in the classical sense--he's actually fiscally responsible
and while he'd give McCain a lot of chops in economics, he'd infuriate the religious right.

14. Bloomberg is just too smart to be McCain's VP.
Why would he waste his time running with a loser like McCain? What's in it for him?
