2. Not that I've heard
They quietly announced last week she was being vetted and nothing else was said about it. Very likely it could be her. The Repugs probably think a black woman would trump Obama. Plus, I hate to say it, but the debates wouldn't be so one-sided between Veeps (not that anything she'd say would be based on fact or in truth but at least she can talk intelligently... right? In comparison of course.)

3. I'd put my money on it being her.
Black, woman, foreign, relations experience, etc etc

6. Except, twice, she said she didn't want the job, and sort of endorsed Obama.
Plus, baggage she brings...

And finally, they'd be playing right into Obama's hands by really showing that McCain is more of the same.

No, It won't be Kinda Sleezy Rice.

9. Biden has already tore her apart on the Hill
I, for one, welcome Condi as the VP.

It's an instant connection to "more of the same" and Biden can absolutely take his gloves off during debates and on the stump. Her relation to the administration would destroy the "oh, he's attacking a woman!" line that they would inevitably use.

In fact, she's my dream VP candidate for McCain.

4. The republican party will never have a non-white or non-christian person on the ticket.

7. No.
She hasn't.

Bush the Elder has pushed Romney.

Cheney has pushed Rice.

10. Thanks !
I'm thinking they will go with Rice. Romney doesn't add much to the ticket and he's a "scary mormon" so their evangelistic base would run screaming.

11. He won't run
His wife doesn't want him to and frankly I don't think there is much love left in him for the RNC.

12. Don't think Powell was even vetted.
The pontificators on Morning Joe seem to think that it's not going to be anyone who's been discussed a lot... or Lieberman.
