Obama showed the fundamental difference between the parties tonight...
Democrats are working to change the world. While Republicans are trying to drive it into a ditch.

5. That speech was SO remarkable
He opened the Democratic tent as wide as it's ever been tonight and still flashed overwhelming populism and pure liberal principles, without shame or equivocation. With passion.

It was the best of Lincoln, MLK and JFK.

Abraham, Martin and John.

The best of America.

7. Epic. Pure epic.
I think he changed Chris Matthew's life. That's how profound Obama is. He's gifted like no other.

10. Matthews was wild man
I joked in another thread that it looked like Obama triggered some kind of endorphin rush in Tweety.

the worst.

12. All they have is hate and fear at this point
Failed policies. Failed ideology. They have to divide. Everything they purport to hold dear is just another way to exploit and divide. Like "values issues." Just another way to exploit something people care about while they offer no viable solution. How can the "pro-life" party actually govern over increased abortions? Because, in the end, it was never about that, it was about winning an election, not solving a problem.
