Those wusses are going to use the hurricane to find a way to wiggle out of their poor decision to host the event right after ours.

If anything, the right person could USE the RNC to help get support needed for that Hurricane and those going thru it.

11. one more RW actor that I will have to write off.
I can still watch "To Kill a Mockingbird" because Gregory Peck is the star, and Boo Radley is not in it that much any way. I did not know he was a life long republican, where is his family values? I guess where ever some of the others are with their multiple wifes/families.

9. They are wishing they had picked 9/11 for the day on which
the Fearmonger McCain would beat his chest and his war drums.

10. I had to laugh last night when I heard that, it is a no win
situation for the GOP. Obama's appearance and speech were fantastic, and if they go ahead w/their convention, it will bomb out, if they postpone, they will look like they are running scared.

Then there are all of the people who have, for well over a year, had plans to attend and suddenly those plans change and throw everything into chaos because they cannot re-schedule due to work or other conflicts. The GOP would be lucky to get 100 people in w/o having to pay for mourners to come to the wake.

If they show up, they lose because of lackluster performance...if they cancel, they might as well jsut go home and break out the industrial crying towels. Either way...they lose BIG!!!

:woohoo:

12. I will be surprised if this really happens.
I think this is just a publicity stunt to get every one talking about this and not Obama's speech.

13. The logistics make it impossible ...
No freakin way you shuffle a convention like that three days out. As you noted, just them doing what they do, finding some desperate way to get a little PR.

I agree that in retrospect they would have prefered to have it on 9-11 so they could once again use it as the theme, and my guess is that they will do the convention, then drum up something big (keeping in mind OBAMA big is something else) to do on 9-11, like having McCain hold a rally in Pa at the site where the plan crashed.

16. They're going to switch to 'simple' and 'humble' and concerned about the poor folk in the Gulf
and the corpmedia will fawn all over the 'humble' convention that put distressed Americans first before their own political convention, unlike the Dem PARTY whose overthetop Greek 'columns' were obscene.

This is EXACTLY the way they twist events and this is exactly how the media helps them.

17. Let's give them some credit
Republicans have their hands on the levers of government. If the hurricane will hit, I want them in Washington paying attention rather than in Minnesota trying to score political points. By delaying, would they try to gain an advantage. Sure! But I want people to be safe above all else.
