My mother is 88, and says this is the best political speech
of her lifetime. That includes FDR, folks.

2. Well, bless her
political heart! Obama is bringing back the right to feel good about our country and our politics again.

4. Olbermann said it will be in history books and he's right.
Maybe even in speech classes...I studied the dream speech in speech class, so I'm sure this one will be added to the required reading too.

8. Anybody who watched or listened to it LIVE was "there" in
spirit if not in body.

We were as there as could be reasonably expected.

9. Yep,
I remember watching the MLK march and speech on black and white TV with my parents too...I was only 13 but I knew it was history and it made me do more once I got old enough in later years...I always considered myself lucky to have come of age during those historic times...and of course having the rebal spirit that scared my parents to death to take on injustice then...

11. That's so cool! I wasn't into
anything that resembled history until I got into politics in 2000.

But, tonight and the last 3 nights have been Perfect after 8 years of bush rule. The perfect starting point for the General Election to get Obama-Biden elected!

5. My 88-year old mother doesn't remember a better one, either. Neither do I.
Even David Gergen was so impressed he was nearly inarticulate.

10. I have an 88-year-old mother and
she liked the music at the Democratic Convention but she's still voting for McCain. She's hardcore Republican. Wasn't always, but since about 1968 she has been.

13. Wow! My dad is 88 too, and
he said the exact same thing! He came over after the speech (we live next door), and we hugged, and cried too. We were both so happy.
