My dad said it was the best speech he's ever heard

I just got off the phone with him. He sounded awestruck. I can't wait to talk to some people tomorrow and get some other opinions.

1. I think it was the best speech I have ever heard too. Also

it was brilliant to have the closing night in the stadium, wow what a show and the fireworks at the end were great. I'm glad the weather co-operated.

2. It was amazing & although I've heard many Obama speeches, that was the BEST...

Obama came through as himself, as strong, as someone who could defend himself and US, someone who had ethics, someone who would not accept the status quo.... he came across as many things tonight, and every one of those things will get him elected.

3. Some people thought it was a mistake

Pundits, I mean. That he couldn't pull it off. The sound might be bad, the weather. That the speech would fall flat in such an open environment.

It worked out better than most could imagine. Unbelievable. And on the same date as MLK's "I Have a Dream" speech. It was all aligned.
