Obama is a genius
He really stressed the economy for the majority of the time. It spoke true to a lot of Americans. And then finish strong about Iraq and the overall Bush's foreign policy.

Greatest speech of our time if not ever.

btw, home of the greatest football team ever. :bounce:

16. 160 isn't exactly hyperbolic.
I have no idea what his IQ is, but I have no trouble believing 160.

18. 160 is 4 standard deviations from the mean.
Obama's a bright guy, but not that bright.

People look silly when they make claims like that.

20. LOL. I'm one of those deviants, but I know better than to talk about it & so does Obama
His IQ is not at issue. There is no doubt he is bright, but how bright is left to our imaginations and to demonstration by his actions.

It's a fact, however, that Americans do NOT like to discuss the intelligence or education levels of their leaders. For some reason it offends the hell out of them. So we shall comment (admiringly) on Obama's actions, thought processes, and speeches, and above all results, but shhhh on overt comments on IQ as such. After all, it's just a number, a potential -- not a result or "work of genius".

22. More important than raw brainpower--
--is his ability to think outside the box. He has a pretty high social IQ also.

What can I say--I hang out with geeks. Obama is something else entirely -- jawdroppingly so.

25. I.Q. is like a measuring cup...
Some are bigger, some are smaller, but what really matters is what you fill the cup with.

P.S. Yeah, preposition at the end of a sentence. I know.

... as Sir Winston Churchill said. :hi:

I care about character and ethics and judgement and behavior and results. Obama will deliver.

30. Barack Obama is clearly more intelligent than I.
And to boot, he's ambitious, thoughtful, and immensely capable.

I want the smartest motherfuckers out there, let alone the room. (Pardon the vulgarity)

Obama, Biden? No worries there. This is the best ticket that the Democratic Party has had since 1960. Maybe since 1932... Who knows? Time will tell!

The citizens of the United States of America are going to enjoy the best president in living memory after having endured our absolute worst.

Funny how that works out, no?

Three people in each 100,000 would be at 160 or above. That means about 9,000 folks at that level in the U.S. It's not at all impossible.

Truth be told, the standard tests are pretty limited at anything above 140 or so. It takes a little more than just the standard public school testing to determine much above that.

19. Barack Is A Genius.......But
....we're up against idiots.

Look at this if you have Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=38138566322&ref=nf

It's an essay some clown I went to High School with wrote about Obama. Pure lies and sensationalism!

I generally don't mix it up on the 'net, but I had to respond.

Here was my response for those who can't view a Facebook page:

<<<<<Easy Sean Hannity on steroids.

Political rule 10-35-10-35-10

10% of Americans are liberals who will never waver on any issue.
35% are liberals are empathetic to conservative views but are truly liberal.
10% are legitimately independent.
35% are conservatives who are empathetic to liberal views, but are truly conservative.
10% are conservatives will never waver on any issue.

You're clearly in the 10% of conservatives that will never waver, nor be empathetic to opposing views. A sign perhaps of a person that's enjoyed an upper middle class upbringing and never had to worry about the next meal or racial inequality. An actual patriot would be offended by this slanderous political hit job.

The important thing is for every American speak their mind in November and the person with the most votes becomes President. That's what this country was built on, right?

To a lot of people, a flag lapel pin does not indicate patriotism and is not a required piece of clothing. Google Image 'John McCain', and count how many flag lapel pins you see on him. The answer is ZERO.

To label a candidate that you don't like as, 'Against America' is the absolute height of ignorance. I don't care much for John McCain, but the verbiage used in your essay goes against the 'American principles' that you want us to believe you covet.

Political extremists like you, are what prevents progress. Like Senator Obama said tonight, both sides can work together to lower the number of abortions in this country (which would make everyone happy), but people like you would rather line up and throw stones.

Whatever deranged events led you to your state of dementia, is all in your head. You can own a gun today if you'd like and you can own that same gun 6 years into an Obama presidency.

Get a grip! Then, go vote! Because if you don't, your opinion goes from simply dumbfounded to completely worthless.

But don't poke yourself with your flag lapel pin between now and November, it looks like it would hurt!>>>>>

24. Also The Subtle Hands Of Dr. Dean...
Watching the unfiltered C-SPAN coverage the past couple days, we've witnessed a transformation of the Democratic party...in a more Progressive direction...a new synergy and energy that has the stamp of Howard Dean and the DFA all over it. He's liberated a party...and even some of the stalwards inside of it.

The past two days, we've heard some of the best speeches Democrats have delivered and heard in my lifetime. From Dennis Kucinich to Michelle Obama to Bill & Hillary to John Kerry (:patriot:) to Bill Richardson to Joe Biden to the masterpiece by Senator Obama. The proof is how the right wing and its corporate media toadies are attacking the surface and can't touch the substance...cause they don't understand it...but WE do!!! Not only us, but millions...a new majority of all races, religions, sexual orientations...inclusion rather than exclusion...and a call for much needed positive change. The road has been long, but there's more to go.

I was particularly impressed with the comments of Michelle Bernard...a moderate Republican...who you could see was very moved by what she witnessed and could look outside of her politics to see a bigger picture. I sense there are many other Michelles and Michaels out there...the message is right, it's good and it's starting to take root.

Cheers to both Senator Obama and Dr. Dean for a great week in Denver...and to ALL Democrats who came together to make this party whole and strong and ready to kick some serious GOOP ass in November.

Excelsior!!!!
