Intrade confirms it is likely Tim Pawlenty for McCain
Mitt is down to 10 points while Pawlenty is up to nearly 80.

2. hahahahaha, Biden cooked Mittens and good!
They had already picked Mittens but couldn't do another born-on-third-base country club GOP in contrast to Joe, and after HouseGate!

This guy is SUCH a loser! A big milquetoast...makes Dan Quayle look exciting.

3. Does this make MN red? Does it change any other states either way?
Edited on Thu Aug-28-08 07:55 PM by TOJ
I can't really see it denting Obama's stranglehold on the young peoples' vote. What demographic does this help McSame with?

I am afraid I don't understand this choice.

4. Make Minnesota blue?
Minnesota IS blue.

This will be a stupid attempt to turn Minnesota red, and that won't happen.

6. Minnesota's been blue since 1976.
It's definitely not changing now.

Only Minnesota and Washington, DC went for Mondale.

11. I've seen that horrifying map.
Didn't go through it back then, though, since I was only four years old.

17. My first was in 2004.
I would have voted in 2000, but I found out I didn't reregister in time. Although, I was in TX at the time, so it wouldn't have made a difference in the large scale of things.

13. Least negatives
That is ALL Pawlenty brings to the table. He does nothing positive for McCain's campaign, but he does the least potential damage to either fundie or indie support, which is the line McCain is trying desperately (and futilely) to straddle. He wants a choice that shores up the base but doesn't cost him moderates, and it just can't be done. All the better for us.

10. Intrade shows how many people think something is likely
this is often the result of inside information and so often reflects reality. It is evidence, but not confirmation.
