Overheard Today... (And Why This Might Just Be Working)

I'm standing out in front of my place of work, and gathered at the picnic table by the fountain, is a group of fellow workers. They are having lunch, as they do every day. What I have NEVER seen\heard them do, is discuss politics. Today, they are talking politics, the convention, and how we cannot afford another 4\8 years of Bush\Cheney in the form of John McCain!

Ya could have knocked me over with a feather.

Then...

The lady who drives the van from the light-rail station to our office and back, and who has ALWAYS got the van's radio tuned to the local conservative station, pulls up next to me and says, "Hey Willy ! I've been watching the convention... and I'm thinking about switching."


I yelled "WooHoo" and blew her a kiss. She smiled and gave me a thumbs up.

5. My coworkers...

...are mostly for Obama. There's the one guy that is "anti Democrat" who won't vote for either McCain or Obama, but says he will be satisfied if Obama wins. There's the older racist guy that wishes it was Hillary and is still wishy washy about Obama. Then there's the Fox News idiot with the McCain sticker on his car. But everybody else is fully on Obama, even some that could not stomach Kerry for whatever reason.
