McCains 72 YRS. OLD. 72!!!! Who cares who his VP pick is, McCain is 72 YRS. OLD and it shows
when he stammers and stutters through his canned speeches and interviews.

Birthday Complicates Timing for McCain
Nathan Gonzales from the Rothenberg Political Report sends us this information observation:

"With all of the talk about John McCain unveiling his running mate immediately after the Democratic National Convention to alleviate Barack Obama's bounce, there could be a wrinkle in McCain's potential plans: his birthday."

"McCain turns 72 years old on August 29, the day after the Democrats' convention. So while the Arizona senator could swipe some media attention from Obama by announcing his vice presidential choice during the time between the conventions, the senator's birthday and age will be a prominent media story. And it will be contrasted even further with the age of his running mate."

7. He's gonna name some stupid piece a shit as VP
Which will just reinforce the notion that the senile old fart will probably croak under the strain of the job within a year leaving the dumshit VP in charge. I doubt that even hardcore pubs are gonna be enamored of the thought of Pres. Romney or Pres. Lieberan.

8. Truth is... he was always, shall we say.... "simple".
I think his age is mostly beside the point. I think he's a lttle nutty besides ( to indulge in some technical psychological jargon) not being especially bright.

These factors are more to the point than age... seems to me. I also think they are fair game... esp. if GOP runs dirty... which they are already doing.

13. I seem to recall that Golda Meir said "70 is not a sin"
when she became Israeli Prime Minister at age 70. Now that I've reached my 70th year, I take her words to heart. That's one sin I can cross off my list. But people do age differently, and it's my observation that John McCain has not aged all that well. For all his years of "experience" in the Senate and of course he was a POW, which could age a fella, he does not display any of the wisdom I connect with age. Not always as wise as I'd wanta be, but there are those who fall into the "eternal adolescent" category, and unlike fine wine, they do not improve with age. I've known a few, and try to avoid being around them. Strikes me McCain's one of those. I heard freepers have been talking about how much taxpayer money would be saved by not having to pay McCain all that money that goes to former presidents cause he's so old going in. Guess they gotta come up with something to counteract what a cipher he is. I'd be willing to bet, though, that if the media talks about McCain's age they will not frame it in any negative context. Just my take, based on reporting they've done so far.
