The media propaganda is in full force today.
The media are running with the Republican-corporate propaganda message of the day, and the paid internet operatives are playing along. I opened my local paper's website to read an article full of talk about the "fragile unity" of the Democratic Party and the "tenuous" support of Hillary's supporters for Obama. The article's quotes from Hillary supporters all say that they are enthusiastically supporting Obama, though. No evidence to support the pervasive editorial tilt of this supposed "news" article.

The comments section is full of plants. Obama is an elitest, Obama has no experience - none of them address the article. Obvious shills.

I log into DU and see the same thing - trolls running around saying Hillary didn't do this and Hillary supporters don't like that and panic-panic-panic.

It would be laughable if there weren't so much at stake. The Republicans have nothing. Nothing. Nothing with which to oppose a great Democratic ticket and remarkable Democratic Party unity at a time when public disenchantment with the Republican brand is at a historic low. All they can do is desperately try to manufacture a false crisis.

I'm celebrating being a Democrat today! No Republican shill or paid operative is going to rain on my parade. Join me.

1. I agree. The question is how much damage is this MSM BS causing to the campaign?

6. Since it's their only hope, they'll ramp it up until it either fails or has an effect.
Let's make sure it fails.

2. I suspect we ain't seen nothin' yet
Biden and Bill are scheduled tonight and there is little doubt that they will tear into McCain. Then there will be spin about Clinton being impeached (illegally) and Biden being an "insider" or some crap like that.

4. When we don't do well in the polls, it's the media. What a negatively spun convention.
Everything set up to be stolen, with explanation that he is black and inexperienced. We had no relief this morning. And with Tucker and Joe, you can imagine.

If McCain weren't so dangerous, with bad votes from even before he turned to Rove tool.

5. There is so much at stake.
I sometimes feel that many of these people don't care about this country. They are the unpatriotic ones.

We should never forget how the media behaved in 2000. Making fun of Al Gore, like nasty bullies on the school bus, was their entry into the circle of "cool kids". They didn't seem to bother thinking what their job actually was or what the consequences of their propaganda would be for the nation.

8. They absolutely don't care about the country. They are paid to do a job.
The media is owned by a few huge corporations that benefit greatly from Republican policies. Their CEOs make hundreds of millions of dollars. They don't give a damn about American workers or American manufacturing. They've outsourced everything in the name of profit.

They are determined to steal this election by hook or by crook. Propaganda is one of their tools and we're seeing it in full force today.

where American are beginning to see through the bullshit (of course, DU'ers have seen through it for years now).

11. That's right. Everything is opposite day - just like the Bush administration.
The Democratic National Convention is filled with disunity according to the paid operatives. The Republicans will be sweetness and light. All lies - the opposite of the truth.

13. They have as much power as we are willing to give them....
We should bombard the MSM calling them out on their bullshit. We need to stop hanging on their every word when they're reporting things we like, and then crying when they flip flop.

The Democratic Party is going to win the White House. There is nothing the MSM or GOP can do about it. It's our time. Let's all stay positive and focused on getting Barack elected.

They sure as hell are not going to rain on my parade. I'm so proud to be a Democrat.

GOBAMA!!!

Skinner is here locking stupid threads and DU is just fine. The problem is much much bigger than that.

17. I haven't watched TV in years for that very reason. But it's out there.
I was shocked by the bias in my local newspaper's report, but I realized that I shouldn't have been surprised. The media bias has become very blatant.

18. Not in Raleigh. Front page quote of "No Way, Nohow, No McCain"
check it out:

Wow. I went to the website and discovered they'd taken down the front page giant quote!

Somebody higher up than who approved the copy must have gotten pissed.

20. Keep reading...in the same article...
Her uncompromising appeal for party unity behind Obama may have given the convention the spiritual lift it seemed to be lacking up to that point...
...

A fragile unity

Warner was received politely, but Clinton was clearly the evening's main event.

The party's unity remains fragile, and the delegates' mood is palpably tentative. That was obvious throughout the Pepsi Center, where scores of delegates wore their Hillary buttons and waved big white "H" signs. Those delegates were generally ready to accept Obama, but they really wanted Clinton.

...

The quest for harmony continues today...

23. They want conflict
Conflict sells and gets ratings.

Turn the MSM off and show them that they're irrelevant because in the Internet age, they are.
