7. I think Warner did a fine job (much better than I thought he would),
but I agree - it should have been Schweitzer.

16. It was better than I thought, but..
Schweitzer impressed me a lot. The crowd was revved up second to Kucinich's speech IMO.

5. Tossup ...

Hillary gets the nod because of how much pressure was on her, but all things being equal, between her and Schweitzer on the merits of their speeches in and of themselves, I couldn't choose.

Lots of home runs for Dems tonight. Those two were both spectacular.

6. I am voting for Clinton, but I think Warner did a good job.
Much sharper than I thought, and though (for me) he comes in third (I didn't see Kucinich) to Clinton and Schweitzer... when you're following those two, you had to have been damn good.

9. We had 3 terrific speeches that were all so different and I loved
each and every one of them.

Hillary's task was the most difficult and the most important, so she gets way more points because of the degree of difficulty. Sorry for the Olympics analagy.

11. I was stupidly watching the talking heads when Schweitzer was on
but I did see the end of his speech. Very inspiring. I very much enjoyed Warner's speech. Let's face it, though. Tonight belong to Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Love Hillary Vote for Obama!

15. Toss up between Kucinich and Clinton
Edited on Wed Aug-27-08 12:55 AM by mvd
Kucinich fired the crowd up with truth and red meat issues, while Clinton successfully showed she wants her supporters united behind Obama. Their speeches had different objectives in mind.

Kucinich spoke with a passion I'd like to hear more of. While there were other zingers in speeches tonight, when they say "we can't afford four more years of Bush policies," that should be a very emotional line.
