I wonder if he was thinking of four years ago... and what if this or what if that..

When he lost I was as disappointed as I've ever been in my life. It took me months to get over it. Well, honestly I don't know if I'll ever get over it. I still think it was stolen. You know there is a part of me that is afraid to even hope that Obama will win, because I want to protect my heart from that kind of disappointment again.

He is my first (political) love. I didn't know anything about him until he won the primary. I don't remember where I saw the link, but I watched the c-span archive of him and O'Neill on Dick Cavett back in the day and I got giddy like a school girl.

I didn't find DU until weeks after the election.

I don't think he was thinking about four years ago at all.

After Teddy's speech David Gregory interviewed Kerry. Kerry said people had no idea what Teddy went through to give that speech.

Teddy is a friend and mentor to Kerry; he might not be around much longer; and Kerry knew what an effort he was making, and how difficult everything is for Teddy and his family now. I'm sure Kerry wasn't thinking about himself at that moment, at all.

4. I felt so badly for him because he really comes across as a sincere man but he was just too nice.

It kinda sucks that politics doesn't allow for statesmanship anymore. It's all about who can get the dirtiest the quickest and the lowest.
