Gov. Granholm D-MI
If she handles the energy crises the same way she handled the MI primary, we're screwed...

1. Considering she's at the helm of the most
fucked up state in the country right now and still won re-election against evil moneybags DeVos,I'm willing to cut her some slack. She's a good Governor in a very bad situation.

2. She is a really good Governor in a very bad situation.
She gets the blame for a failed auto industry, job losses and home foreclosures. She kicked ass against Dick DeVos and has been doing her best to bring new technology and industry to our state. She is trying to undo the damage from 8 years of fat ass Republican John Engler who did the same thing to Michigan that Bush has done to our country.

5. You're right about the problems, but the primary was not a problem that she inherited
We were screwed . . . that fight is over . . . but my faith in my elected officials is zilch.

8. I think she made a mistake with the primary
but I think there's plenty of blame to go around for that. I think she has done a very good job running this state. We knew before the 2002 election, that whoever got into office would have a hell of a mess. I've seen several surveys over the years that showed Michigan is a well run state (the last one gave us a B+). The economy isn't her fault but people need someone to blame. I believe she'll leave office with a job approval rating above 50% since we have started seeing some good news of the job front. I'm proud she's my Governor. As for tonight, I think she did a excellent job with the round table on energy.

9. We flew into Detroit on August 15, 2003
the day after the huge blackout in the northeast. The power was still off in most places. As we drove from the airport to our hotel we listened to a press conference Governor Granholm was holding and we were mightily impressed by her command of the situation, her effective gathering and deploying of resources, such as making sure that nursing homes and assisted living places had plenty of drinking water. She was cool, unflappable, knew what was going on and what needed to be done.

It's truly a shame she's not eligible to be president.

I hope they change that law. Not just for Granholm but for all foreign born citizens. The US is a land of immigrants and should allow everyone the opportunity to serve as President. I would love for her to run for President.
