Am I wrong or is this suppose to be Barack Obama's week?
I thought that since Barack won the primary and to make it official, he will be nominated in Denver this week, it seems as though Barack Obama is playing third fiddle! All of the news channels seem to focus on what is McCain going to do? Who is McCain going to pick for VP? Is Joe Biden the right selection? What about the Clinton's? What about the Clinton supporters? How come Barack isn't doing better in the polls? It is almost like Barack is more of an after thought! I thought this is suppose to be the week Barack's credentials are suppose to be pressed toward the forefront! I wonder if the same thing will happen next week when John McCain is set to accept his parties nomination?

12. You're wrong. It's not Obama's until he is NOMINATED as the winner.
Edited on Mon Aug-25-08 04:35 PM by GreenTea
Obama has NOT yet won the nomination, all delegates votes have to be officially counted, which has NOT occurred and won't until later this week.... in fact Clinton will receive many votes as well....

The convention is NOT Obama's yet, it's the Democratic National Convention for ALL democrats, it's for presenting the democratic platform of idea's and what all democrat's will be, (or should be) running on this fall.

This is NO different than any other Democratic convention in the past....Obama will no doubt win the nomination and he will then head the party with the democratic platform that will be put forth by this convention!

And the winner of the delegate count, only then, it will become "the nominated winner's" convention.....to lead the democratic party for president and to sell the democratic platform & agenda and hopefully democratic ideology to the American people as the better of any other party.

Why would you have any doubt that Barack will not get the nomination?

The talking heads have to fill time somehow. Once the convention kicks into high gear, it will be different.

18. Why do you think Abe Simpson is planning his VP announcement for Friday?
He wants to knock the Democrats out of the headlines the minute they turn off the lights at Mile High Stadium.
