How can Sirius LEFT call itself 'LEFT'??????
There are some great shows but Alex Bennett and Lynn Samuels spend the whole day ripping into Obama.

Does anyone know why Sirius allows this and continues to do it?

Sirius Right supports McLame. No people on there ripping McCain!

What is the deal?

2. Because the right is authoritarian. That means no dissension in the ranks. The left
cherishes individuality and democracy, so sometimes we have to hear opinions we don't like from our own side.

7. I disagree totally.......
I would understand concerns about Obama. But telling people NOT TO VOTE for him is not concerns or being open minded. They should at least support the candidate. Even with complaints.

11. Try running a military that way.
This is war. The Republicans know that, so they conduct themselves accordingly. Democrats still think that this is just a game, that politics is just politics. That is why we lose.

15. And that's why we've only held the presidency 8 of the last 40 years.
We can continue dividing the party, ripping into our nominee and watch John McCain walk right into the White House, or we can rally behind Obama, wait until he's president and then rip into him.

But Democrats don't like to do that. Instead, they'd rather lose the White House and bitch over and over again how the Republicans fuck us over.

I think it's very important we at least vote for Obama. Voting third party will have no effect the way the country is, not voting will leave you out of the process, and of course McSame is out.

23. And that is exactly the problem with our election system. It needs a massive overhaul and
I hope that Obama will address this during his term(s).

Sirius Left is a serious disgrace and has been for a long time. Lynn Samuels is unlistenable.

4. Lynn Samuels is a dried up old hag who will die alone.
She hates Obama because she says he's "yuppie scum." The same "yuppie scum" who finally paid off his student loans in the past few years. Ironically, she used to call Hillary some of the worst names during the 1990s.

I used to love Lynn when she was on free radio, but I guess once you reach a certain age you lose brain cells.

5. I can't bear either of them.
Alex Bennett is a lazy know nothing who apparently doesn't bother to read the paper. He is the most uninformed man on radio.

For the life of me, I will never understand where Lynn Samuels is coming from.

6. Lynn Samuels is a kittyculter for sure
Hell, her and that vile "Harriet" person from the RBC meeting last month could be one and the same, for all I know.

I don't know what Alex Bennett is. He apparently used to be a Liberal, and was even friends with John Lennon back in the 1970's. So what the Hell happenned?

I still love Malloy and can see his frustration, but we disagree on the big picture. Plus, there are people like Schultz who support Obama.

13. I think the point is that they sound more like "Sirius Right II"
I haven't had Sirius radio in about a year, so I don't know what Samuels and Bennett are saying on a daily basis now.

But when I was listening, Bennett would spend more time talking to Al Goldstein about porn than he would talking politics, and the old bat Harriet Samuels was babbling on and on for an entire week about Kelly fucking Clarkson.

What the Hell do porn and American Idol rejects have to do with progressive politics?

20. And we're losers for it.
Edited on Mon Aug-25-08 03:01 PM by Drunken Irishman
The conservatives have always rallied around Republican candidates because they want to win. Democrats and liberals don't want to win because they're too busy whining. When Republicans say liberals whine, they are 100% right. That is all we do. We whine about Bush and whine about Iraq and whine about the economy and whine about how fucked the country is getting and then when we actually have a chance to change things, we whine about the candidate the Democrats nominate.

Whine, whine, whine and then watch that Democrat lose another election, giving us 4 more years of the same and 4 more years of the same whining. How pathetic of a party and ideology are we? And people wonder why Democrats fail so many times in a general election. It isn't because there are more Republicans, it's because we're too stupid to realize a split ideology benefits the opposition. The Republicans, see, they get it, they realize that if they're going to get their ideology out there, they need a Republican president. It doesn't matter if the candidate is a bit left of the ideological epicenter of their party, they'll concede that JUST TO FUCKING GET ELECTED.

But liberals? We'd rather see defeat...because Obama is really no different than McCain, right? Clearly an Obama presidency would be nearly identical to that of McCain, just like Gore was identical to Bush and Clinton identical to Reagan.

The Republicans figured it out in 1994 that the only way you win is by rallying behind a candidate, however flawed. They saw what a split ideology did in 1992 and they vowed to never let that happen again. So while McCain is probably more moderate to the Republican base than most conservatives would like, he's better than Obama. Unfortunately, I think many liberals do not have that same view about Obama. They really do believe he and McCain are the same.

But if McCain is elected, they'll be the first to bitch. That's just the liberal way. :eyes:

Perhaps they are arguing from a lefter POV and projecting their wishes upon Obama's team?

Need more data.
