Clinton urges supporters to rally around Obama
Reuters:

ENVER (Reuters) - Hillary Clinton urged her supporters on Monday to unite behind Barack Obama and said Democrats could not afford to let lingering frustrations from their nominating battle hurt Obama's bid for the White House.

Clinton, who lost to Obama in a bitter Democratic primary struggle, said the party would emerge united and energized from the nominating convention that opens on Monday -- but acknowledged it would not be easy.

"We are after all Democrats, so it may take awhile," the senator told a chanting, sign-waving crowd of delegates from her home state of New York. "We're not the fall-in-line party. We are diverse. But make no mistake, we are unified."

1. I appreciate the effort from Hilary,
however I would really like to see her explain to her supporters why McCain would be a terrible president. I understand that it must be difficult for both Hilary and Bill to praise Obama but I don't see what is stopping them from attacking McCain. Just saying that we are united will not make it so.

2. So we were only the fall in line party when your husband was running?
Bill Clinton: During the primaries you fall in love, during the general election you fall in line.

WTF!:grr: :grr: :grr:

4. I am glad that she's saying this but she definitely needs to be more prominent and out there
saying this. Otherwise, those words will just be platitudes that disappear in the ether. It certainly wouldn't help her long term prospects (whether or not she is running for another election later on) if that happens.

6. She's talking out of two sides of her mouth... she also said (listen to the dog-whistle-->)
"I will be telling my delegates that I will vote for Barack Obama. How they vote is a more
personal decision. They want to have their chance to vote for me. That is what traditionally
happens ... some people are having to make up their minds because there are arguments
pulling them both ways," - Hillary Rodham Clinton, preparing for 2012.
