McCain believes everyone else lost the war in Viet Nam except for he and his father
Why does McCain get a free pass? McCain is a son of America's elite. That group of people who view themselves as beyond reproach. His father, Commander of the U.S. Pacific Command from 1968-1972 was a big player in the alleged loss of Viet Nam. He like his son claimed Viet Nam was a war that could have and should have been won or communism would spread as a result of a defeat.

Back in the day, the word coming out of the Pacific Command, the Secretary of Defense he reported to and the President of the U.S. - top of this command chain - all claimed if Viet Nam fell, it would be initiate a domino effect and all of Southeast Asia would fall. History has show this ideology to have been absolutely wrong, wrong, wrong. They pursued a war on the based on ignorance of the theater of operations, the Vietnamese people, and disregard for the fact Viet Nam guerillas defeated the Japanese during World War II, won their freedom and we, the U.S., gave Viet Nam back to France. War against colonial occupation begins in earnest.

The U.S. Military leadership and their conservative patrons have a world view based on their political agenda rather than reality. The reality of the world in general is of no interest to them.

That's what John McCain brings to this campaign. He believes everyone else lost the war in Viet Nam except for he and his father. Everyone let the nation down except for he and his father. He believes that even today the nation is being let down by everyone who disagrees with him.

2. He wants revenge--that's why he will NEVER get us our of Iraq or Afghanistan.
If he couldn't defeat the ****s (his word, not mine) in Viet Nam hr's got to do it to somebody else.

That means ALL of us, gang.

His desire for some kind of revenge has been a dirty but not well-kept secret of Arizona politics for years. It behooves an intrepid unbiased reporter to investigate further.
