Nice video - Walk a day in my shoes: Joe Biden/Marshall Clemmons
Good video of Joe Biden walking a day in the shoes of SEIU member Marshall Clemons, a school custodian in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Biden actually got a bit higher score than Obama did from SEIU in 2007 -
Senator Obama supported the interests of the Service Employees International Union 75 percent in 2007.
Senator Biden supported the interests of the Service Employees International Union 83 percent in 2007.

1. Unions built this country and the GOP shits all over them............
they seem to forget that it took organized labor to demand a decent days pay for work and benefits. It curls my blood to hear Republicans who are in Unions blast them after all they got from them. Remember its Republicans who want to kill organized labor. Remember that.

3. Have you seen the original version of Rev. Martin Niemoller's poem -
The one in which he lists as enemies of the Nazi state, groups that most Americans have been taught to hate -- communists, socialists, and trade unionists... the enemies of corporatists everywhere:

First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out--
because I was not a communist;
Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out--
because I was not a socialist;
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out--
because I was not a trade unionist;
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out--
because I was not a Jew;
Then they came for me--
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Dr. Franklin H. Littell, a Methodist minister, college professor, Holocaust expert, scholar, and world citizen, is a frequent contributor to Christian Ethics Today.

6. Yes I have. I was a local police union VP and even my own guys
would tout the Republican line. Idiots, they wouldn't have had jobs w/o the initiatives from the Clinton administration. A lot of the higher ups locally now were given jobs way back when Democrats were in power. They were hired on merit and civil service test scores not because of the political party they belong to. We worked hard to get a living wage and raises that kept up somewhat with the COLA, its all taken for granted today.

7. Sad when people are well enough off that they don't bother to contemplate
why or realize that they have to continue the work of those who came before in order to maintain and extend how good they've got it.

Corporate media has been cramming lies down the throats of the masses for decades -- it is going to take a lot of work to wake people up.

Thank you for all of the work you've done over the years on behalf of the union. :hi:

2. Obama needs to condense this and use it in a commercial..

This shows that Joe truly does understand, and that his "kitchen table" talk is not just a campaign talking point.

I hadn't watched Joe's until this morning. I posted it in case other's had missed it, too.
