I have been watching MSNBC since about 10am and I have
to say they have done a masterful job. Not that there haven't been some snide, tin ear comments ( that's you Gregory, Scarborough and all the repub flacks),but there has been a significant amount of really insightful analysis. Today proves the value of 24 hour news. For a political junkie like myself this was my birthday, Christmas and the 4th of July wrapped up in a anecdotes, analysis and the wonderful pictures of the change coming to America in November.

1. I haven't watched all of it
but it has been excellent coverage. I can take Joe Scarborough more than Gregory though, he just brings out a violent streak in me I never knew I had.

4. I have a basket of foam-rubber bricks for that very purpose.
I predict they'll be getting hurled at the TV screen on a regular basis through the upcoming months.

10. That came in handy during the 2000 Presidential debates
Watched them with a group of friends. We were throwing various foam and hollow plastic objects at the TV every time Chimpy said something stupid. Which was about every time he opened his mouth.

11. Ha! We did the same during the 2004 debates!
The object was to land the brick right between Chimpy's eyes.

It certainly helped to keep my blood pressure down!

3. I love how many republican members of Congress are being quoted
saying glowing things about Biden.

Gonna be kinda hard to attack now isn't it???

(I know...I'm sure they'll find a way......)

6. It's so nice to have some positive press for once!
It probably won't last, but the TV commentary today has been fun to listen to. I like your "holiday" simile. That's how I feel, too. :)

8. It's been pretty good, except..
I can't for the life of me figure out who gives a fuck what Pat Buchanan thinks about anything.

9. Smartest of the bunch:
Howard Fineman, Jonathan Alter and of course Chuck Todd.

Agree 100% on Gregory and Scarborough, and I also think Tweety is increasingly being seen as irrelevant. Who did they have on the phone after the leak last night? Not Tweety. Schuster was on-set with Keith, Fineman, and Alter on the phone with some others--not sure who.

12. Today MSNBC is doing a good job. CNN is another story, they have been hitting Obama hard. I think
CNN is an extension of McLame campaign.
