Bill O'Reilly Actually Made Sense to me last night
or else I really had too much wine to drink.

I hardly ever watch O'Reilly except I was switching through channels on Wednesday night and he was reading e-mail from freepers calling him a liberal, he's gone over to the dark side, etc. relating to the Swift Boat Liars. So last night out of desperation since there was nothing else on - I tuned into him - and he suggested that Kerry come on his show (yea, I know, its ratings for him he proably desperately needs) and put this SBVT thing to rest and get it over and on with the campaign. And I actually think that would work. Kerry is telling the truth about it, he is very intelligent and articulate - why not? It was an invite - go on the show - tell his story, tell the truth - and put this behind him. He can say - I've already told my story and now we want to talk jobs, economy, etc.

Also, I noticed on the shows I watched last night - God I could have done a better job defending Kerry than DeDe Myers on Chris Mathews, and some of the other "defenders" I saw on other shows - just from the information I learned here on DU. DU should be required reading for these people speaking on Kerry's behalf. I kept saying "well tell them this or or say that". But nope.

It would be nice to have a reference section on DU - I've got a favorties folder a mile long - about the truth about many issues. Anyway, just my .02 before I hit the grind this morning.

3. DeeDee Myers...
Is simply a soft and flacid Beltway Insider, nothing more. She does not want to insult any of the people she might see when she goes out to whatever the hot restaurant in DC might be these days. Those people and their opinion of her is far more important to her than any ethical point.

She is irrelevent to anything. Just a paid mouth.

4. KERRY is the one who needs to put it to rest? HELLOOOO--he's the VICTIM!

I would have agreed with you a week ago. But now that the Smear-Voters have been thoroughly discredited, their ties to the Bush White House exposed, and the Navy's records prove Kerry to be truthful, O'Reilly should be demanding that THEY come back on his show and apologize for perpretating a FRAUD! He sees this as KERRY'S fault?!??! Kerry doesn't owe him a thing--the people who Fox News allowed to come on their shows and LIE TO THE PUBLIC do!

6. I hate that "victim" image
they are already playing to Kerry "whining" and playing the "victim" when he started it. And I didn't say he said it was Kerry's fault - all I know is he must have come against the SBV based on the few pieces of e-mail I heard the night before.

I say Kerry is man enough to do it - fine he brought it up - it was all true and now let's have at it. Tell his story, show the Navy records, bam, done.

5. O'Reilly would quickly turn it into Soros/Moveon bashing....
Kerry has nothing to defend. The records are all there, the media just chooses to not focus on that. He's already been on O'Reilly before there's no need for him to address this situation with that buffoon.
