I'll bet Obama wants everyone to learn about it at approximately the same time, so what they'll do
is start texting people in the middle of the night - say, at 3 a.m. - so that by the time most people wake up, they'll find
the text message on their phone.

Damn, I'm exhausted from being on pins and needles all day! I'll probably oversleep tomorrow and be the last to know!

1. "It's 3 A.M. Your cell phone is playing that little 'morse code SOS tune.'
What do you do?"

7. Yeah, Obama's people at the convention site said they have an elaborate txting system and
it will take 3hrs or more to get it out to everyone across the country so they probably will start texting to those on the east coast, then go on across to the west coast last early in the morning.

8. 2008 Political Blunder...
Edited on Fri Aug-22-08 09:00 PM by kirby
This day in 2008: The first serious African American candidate pissed off a nation when he text messaged everyone at 3AM. There was a huge outcry from tired voters. Several deaths were reported from heart attacks. One lady broke her hip trying to get to her phone in the dark. Eventually, Mr. Obama served 2 years in jail for violating the CAN-SPAM act. President McCain eventually pardoned him.
