Biden would be a HORRIBLE choice
The GOP has a stack of dumb quotes Biden has made over the years. He's way too much of an arrogant hot head. We will surely lose if he is the choice. What are people thinking??

12. "Obama's pretty clean and articulate, for a black person."
Ok, he didn't say it exactly like that. But I've gotten used to the fake "let's make them sound racist" quotes throughout this election cycle and felt like playing.

20. You are right, he didn't say it like that...
and it was filthy racists trying to make it sound worse than it was. People who utilize the "Southern strategy". If the "black guy" picks him as the running mate, he can't be all that bad.

25. You should edit your quote - that's NOT what Biden said
I know you pulled back in your message, but the subject line should be edited. Obama never was offended. Biden doesn't have a racist bone in his body. If he wants him as VEEP - doesn't THAT say enough right there?

16. Yep Regardless of who Obama chooses, the GOP will try to rip them
a new one. Biden can stand up for himself, and if we're going to talk about ancient history, we could start with the Keating 5.

26. Because he's incredibly smart, because that smart mouth
is loved by the media (think constant sound bites attacking McCain - most of them really, really funny), because almost no one has the depth of his experience in foreign policy.

Dumb quotes? If that's what it took to knock someone out of contention, we wouldn't be eagerly awaiting the end of the Bush regime. In fact, we wouldn't have had the 1st Bush regime. (And do you even want to talk about Quayle?)

30. It doesn't matter...
...nor has it mattered since 1960.

Not even the disaster over Eagleton in '72 made a difference. McGovern wasn't winning that one with the Holy Ghost to balance the ticket. Quayle didn't sink Bush père.

It's first and foremost insurance against a catastrophe. Biden's a long-service senator, and would do fine. Apart from that, it's a matter of a few news cycles worth of coverage.

31. You can throw the change matra right out the window it its Biden
No thinking person would EVER associate Biden with change in Washington. And it would be an outright lie to even say so, considering the long history of statements on the Sunday "news" shows and the voting record.

If its Biden, better find another theme.
