CNN report just blew the story about Obama's "poor" brother out of the window
Edited on Fri Aug-22-08 05:14 PM by underpants
It looked more like a BBC report (same pace as a BBC report)

the reporter interviewed George Obama.

The RW spin is that "he has a half-brother who lives on $1 a month" well guess what EVERYONE where he lives probably lives off a $1 a month or something like that. Yes it is a a slum but you have to see the interview.

George is very well spoken-speaks more than one language how about that?
They have met but George agreed that it was rather awkward
George said "I was brought up well.....I live well.....money isn't everything"

It was just too funny.

Video should be up soon but this was hilarious to watch-the RW spin is so transparent.

2. I can't believe I missed this!
I've been trying to get the scoop on this ever since I heard some RWers talking about it in a restaurant the other day.

5. Ok, but what about the supposition
that "rich" Obama is letting his brother live in poverty? Is he in poverty? Does Obama send any help to him?

8. Whoever wrote that article is culturally illiterate. Most of Kenya lives
on $1.00 a day and maybe he and his mother stay in the home they grew up in because they like living where they are at. Not every African living as the rest do is poor.
