4. Exactly. I don't know why they didn't say "20 points" ... they could claim an even bigger failure.
Why do people fall for this crap? :eyes:

2. I think that's horseshit
And they better hope he doesn't because if he does the election is over.

3. The McCain camp is trying to create a high bar so that if there is anything less
than 15 points it will seem like a failure for Obama. If there is more than 15 points then whatever that figure is will seem smaller -- 20 point jump? Well that is only 5 higher than expected - not very impressive.

Politics. The boring, tedious aspects really are boring and tedious.

5. Which probably means their internal polling says 10 points..
Which is still a massive bump. :)

10. It will be key to hold down McCain's bump
If their convention is viewed like 1992, mean and oblivious, he'll get no bump at all. In 1992, it helped that while the Republicans were busy spewing bile, Bill Clinton and Al Gore were building homes with Jimmy Carter and Habitat for Humanity. Hopefully Obama can have some activities that just totally destroy the narrative the Republicans try to create. Since their narrative is that Obama is a traitor and an empty suit, it might be a good time to have an ad saying Obama came up with the Iraq withdrawal timetable that Bush agreed to. Means Obama was a smart guy with the right idea.

7. Anything the McBullshit's camp says about Obama is pure crap. Don't pay attention.
It's meaningless.

9. He's already getting a pre-convention bounce.. should be good
for 5 points, then he'll get up to 10 after the convention..
So, even though they are trying to set up Obama as "failing" because he's not "winning" be "enough", they are just shooting themselves in the foot and looking like a bunch of whiners!

Oh, did you know Johnny McCain is a POW??

just thought I'd mention it incase you hadn't heard the news.

12. Meh.
McCain should worry about getting some GOP politicians to show up to their own convention instead of making point projections. I'm amazed they have someone that can make predictions but can't deal with real problems facing their campaign. :eyes:
