Obama vetted Chet Edwards for the VP spot.

(CNN) — Texas Rep. Chet Edwards confirms to CNN Barack Obama's presidential campaign has vetted him for the No. 2. spot on the Democratic presidential ticket.

Edwards also told CNN Obama has not spoken to him in recent days about his VP choice.
