Is it Bloomberg? (More pointless VP speculation!)

Obama's description of his VP pick doesn't really sound like any of the front runners. For one thing, Obama mentioned his choice would help him with the economy, and Biden, Bayh, Kaine, et. al really wouldn't. A more non-traditional choice like Bloomberg or Warren Buffett certainly would, though. Also, he mentioned he wanted his VP to be independent and someone who would challenge him. While Clinton and Biden both fit this description, Bloomberg is literally unaffiliated with a party. Bloomberg would also have some pull in Florida with the Jewish vote, although to be honest--as a Jew myself--I think the MSM storyline of Obama's supposed "problem" with the Jewish vote is a myth.

1. Just alittle anecdote:

This spring I took my mother for a Dr.'s appointment to see her liver specialist. He is a Dem and pro-Obama as we always spend a great deal of time during the visit talking about politics--the practitioner can't get him to leave us and out the door!!! Well, he said he thinks Obama's wisest pick would be Bloomberg! He said other than Obama for president he would choose Bloomberg. (I only hope he wouldn't run on the Republican ticket!) Anyway, that was a the first I had ever heard of Bloomberg was from this doctor, and I've been watching for Bloomberg ever since....could it be?
