Donating to Obama online is all fine and well...

...but I still find writing a check, and sealing it in an envelope, satisfying in its own bygone way. Kind of like putting aside the iPod or the CD player, and going for the crackling warmth of vinyl on the turntable. It's a nice way to cap off an evening of paying bills and balancing the checkbook: donating to Obama For America!

That's an innovation I welcomed, being that the ones requiring a lick never tasted pleasant.

I normally donate online, but since the Obama campaign sent me a snail mail solicitation, I thought it would be fun for old time's sake. ;-)

I recommend it for anyone who still uses checks, and wants to write a worthwhile one on this "VP Eve".
