One thing that I feel is very important for the likes of us to understand is that while we KNOW we are in the majority as far as being a portion of the voting members of our country, we are NOT in the majority as far as being compassionate. Now if the homeless family were white....and they had children...and one of them was molested by a black, gay man...and then she disappeared in Aruba...and the mother was a leader of the Girl Scouts and the dad was laid off from his job at Enron....THAT might be a different story ;-)
