Obama Knows, His VP Vetting Committee Knows, Can It Remain Secret Until Emails Are Sent Out?
.... I don't think so.

IMHO, it is likely someone speaking anonymously will identify the VP Choice as early as tonight.

That is the way these things usually pan out.

1. I'm thinking it will be held off until McCain's gaffe on the
non-remembrance of how many houses he has dies down. It's great stuff to let hit the public and should be allowed to run its course. Just my take, however...

3. Saw this point made in another thread and I agree with you ...
Let this one play out COMPLETELY before rolling out the VP.
This is the best ammunition Bomb Bomb has given us for a
week ...

5. LOL and good point!
Don't get in the way when your opposition is shooting themselves in the foot multiple times.

2. The clues are already there. It's Clark.
He just changed his dinner plans to be at the convention, and he's the only one who doesn't already have a speaking slot.

10. Yes, the day Obama is scheduled to speak.
No one else is speaking that say except for Gore.

I suspected his dinner plans would be changed so he could be in Denver, and I suspect they could be changed again so he can be there Wednesday night.

21. He said he'd be there Thursday. He didn't say he would NOT be
there on Wednesday, too.

And if he's there Wednesday, then he would be there on Thursday.

7. Did he change his dinner plans?
He will be at the convention Thursday; did he change his dinner plans on Wed in Italy to be there earlier? Please clarify. Thanks!

8. Are you series? Where did you find out he'd changed his plans?
I'm for Biden at the moment but I'd also be happy if the
VP were Clark (especially after his appearance on "Face
The Nation").

14. Not Just Obama, GOD heard me, I have been praying it's Clark
I like Biden he is a good second choice, but he has a mouth on him
Clark knows how to hit in a respectful hard hitting way
and he is not covered in Washington DC Muck!
No Offense to Biden but he is a deep Washington Insider
and Clark is definately an independant thinker

23. Oh Heather! I love you!
Somehow I think if he picks Clark, it's in the bag. Being not covered in "muck", as you state, should make Clark a much more worthy opponent for those who may attempt to steal this one. And I know this sounds frivolous in such times as these, but there aren't a pair of better looking men on the planet and we know how looks can sway opinion among those who let those kinds of things influence their decisions (blush)

9. The Obama team is picking a Homeless family to announce his VP
The McCain blunder is big, I was so hoping for the VP announcement today, but
I think they need to delay it just a bit.

28. Unfortunately, choosing a homeless family (if you are at all serious)
would only give the neo-con camp a feast for calling "pity party" on the BO campaign. One thing that I feel is very important for the likes of us to understand is that while we KNOW we are in the majority as far as being a portion of the voting members of our country, we are NOT in the majority as far as being compassionate. Now if the homeless family were white....and they had children...and one of them was molested by a black, gay man...and then she disappeared in Aruba...and the mother was a leader of the Girl Scouts and the dad was laid off from his job at Enron....THAT might be a different story ;-)

17. There ought to be a slew of 'withdrawals from consideration' tonight....
It is only fair for those not chosen to be given the opportunity to voluntarily remove their names from consideration so that they are not left looking like they wanted to be chosen but were passed over.

Soon You can take your list and cross off the names of those withdrawing from further consideration and determine who it is by who is left.

Maybe only Obama. I heard yesterday that Obama may not even telephone the choice until one minute before the e-mails and text messages are ready to go.

He said on Air America that he hasn't heard anything. :)

Then again, I could be entirely DELUSIONAL. It's been known to happen.

Not a value judgment, just recalling how many leaks have come out of the Clinton entourages over the years.
