USA Today: McCain family have at least 11 parcels of residential real estate

http://blogs.usatoday.com/onpolitics/2008/08/mccain-not-bein.html#more

<snip>

McCain does not own any real estate individually. His wife and children, however, have extensive real estate holdings.

Cindy McCain and her children, through a trust and several companies, own at least 11 parcels of residential real estate, public records show. Those properties account for 11 houses or condominium units.

They are:

• Three condominium units in Phoenix. Two are in the same high-rise condominium near Camelback Mountain, including the McCains' official residence: A 6,586 square-foot home created by combining two condominium units that Cindy McCain's family trust bought for $4.7 million in 2006, according to Maricopa County, Ariz., real estate records. The real estate bust in Phoenix has hurt the value of the McCains' home. County records show the unit is now assessed as worth $1.7 million. A company controlled by Cindy McCain bought another unit in that building for $830,000 last year, those public records show. That same company bought a townhouse-style condominium nearby for $700,000 last year. County assessments for those two condos are now $682,000 and $555,500, respectively.

• Five parcels near Sedona, Ariz., comprising the ranch where McCain often spends weekends. Those five parcels -- owned by Cindy McCain's trust and a limited partnership -- include five houses ranging from an 868 square-foot guest house to a home of more than 2,400 square feet, according to Yavapai County, Ariz., property records. The latest county assessments value these properties at a combined total of $1.65 million.

• Two condominiums in a high-rise, beachfront building in Coronado, Calif., near San Diego. A company controlled by Cindy McCain bought one unit in 2004 and another -- the combination of two units -- earlier this year. San Diego County assesses the two condos as being worth a total of more than $3.9 million this year.

• A condominium in Arlington, Va., across the Potomac River from Washington. McCain and his wife bought the unit in 1993, and McCain transferred ownership to Cindy McCain in 1996, county records show. The condo's assessed value this year is nearly $850,000.

2. But if McCondo tries to fight back by saying he doesn't own any homes...
Suddenly he won't be wearing the pants in the family. Oops!

10. He doesn't control the assets.
But that's not news to most people.

Just as Kerry doesn't control his wife's assets. Didn't hear many on either side making a big deal of it.

7. Yes, this is a weak spot for McCain. Let's keep pushing his button until he explodes.

This is a public service to do for the average voter who does not realize that McCain's maverick image is a front for his immature and selfish hot tempered ways. He's basically still that 40 year old acting like he's 25 years old in a 70 year old's body.

We do NOT need someone who's as screwed up as him in the White House. It's almost sad but even Dubya is better than him so we kinda dodged a bullet in 2000 in that regard (I know, we still got screwed over anyway).
