McCain not sure how many houses he owns,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Campaign says candidate and wife have at least four homes

NBC News

WASHINGTON - Days after he cracked that being rich in the U.S. meant earning at least $5 million a year, Republican presidential candidate John McCain acknowledged that he wasn't sure how many houses he and his wealthy wife actually own.

"I think — I'll have my staff get to you," McCain responded to a question posed by Politico, according to a story Thursday on the publication's Web site. "It's condominiums where — I'll have them get to you."

Later, the McCain campaign told Politico that McCain and his wife, Cindy, have at least four in three states — Arizona, California and Virginia. Newsweek recently estimated the two owned at least seven properties.

15. It may be more succinct, but the suggestion of a possible DRAFT
will anger a LOT MORE VOTERS! Young people & their parents will be turned off! Barack needs an ad with THIS info in it! Big bang for the buck!

That seems to help him in his responses to the tough questions;)

Truly, truly scary.

The man is incompetant... not that it matters... I'm sure there's a whole team of NeoCons to do all the work for him.

4. Wish it were so. But I've heard TV millionaire pundits say Americans like rich people.
They won't care if he's the 8th richest senator and Obama is 67th.
He wears a zip jacket to townhall meetings and that shows he's a regular guy, don't you know.

10. So true. I once read that many non-rich Republicans vote against their current best
interests because they are convinced that one day their ship will come in and they don't want to have to pay high taxes when it does.

7. You may be right.
It turns the "regular guy" narrative on its head: McCain just labeled himself a multi-gazillionaire who either actually doesn't know how many houses he owns or doesn't want to admit it on TV. That may indeed be all the opening the Obama folks need.

11. No, it won't
Republicans believe "if you're rich, you deserve it, and if you're poor, you deserve it."
They therefore think that McCain deserves all the money he/Cindy has, and that if any of
them have less, then they, for some reason that God hasn't yet seen fit to tell them, do
indeed deserve it. Republicans believe that if people get tossed out of their homes
because they can't afford to stay in them, then they deserve it, even if they're the
ones getting tossed (or, it the libbruls' fault).

12. They will just respond with the usual baloney...
Accusing critics of "resenting his success" and painting anyone who is disturbed by his wealth as an un-American proto-Marxist who hates the American Dream and wants to punish people for "making it."

Come on, haven't we been paying attention to what Limbaugh and crew have been doing for 20 years?

13. What makes them even dumber is they come out later and say "at least four"...
What is this "at least" crap about? I think most people know how many homes they own they don't have to say they own "at least" this many homes. If McCain did only own four homes they would get a pass on this but when he owns more than four then it is clear that either the campaign is intentionally being deceptive, or they are so incompetent that even they can't figure out how many homes McCain owns.

18. Probably not, but it does demonstrate 2 things:
1. McCain doesn't remember how many houses (or other things) he has.

2. His staff can't count above 4.

So, let's tell them there are only 5 states, sure path to victory!

22. And you know what's even worse?
None of that - the houses, the money... came from his work. His wife's money, his daddy's influence, his own influence peddling a la Keating 5... this guy has been taken care of for his whole life.

Remind you of someone?

23. Every time McLame makes a gaffe, it's "the one that'll cost him the election".
Yet every single time the media brushes it off, or if they cover it, they muddle it and say that McCain "won't be hurt by it."

Give me a break. I've heard this too many times and each time it goes away. This will too.
