If Clinton is Obama's VP, they will have been in states with 200+ EVs the week before the convention
I can't edit the subject line of the topic I started last night about Clinton being in Fresno for the final address at the United Farm Workers convention on Sunday afternoon, and at the NY state fair tomorrow, after being in Florida today -- and with nothing at all scheduled yet for Saturday, as far as I've been able to discover.

So here's the link to that topic:

Even ignoring all the other signs indicating Clinton would be the best VP pick, there is no other possible VP choice Obama could campaign with who could hit large states and swing states with as many electoral votes the week before the convention. A tour of Missouri, Minnesota and the western swing states would take them close to Fresno anyway. The UFW endorsed Clinton originally, then endorsed Obama in June, but that was via a phone call. A joint appearance at the UFW by Obama and Clinton, as the Democratic ticket, would be amazing political theater.

4. I would have preferred her to him as our nominee, but I'm voting for him anyway because we need to
beat McCain.

And I believe Obama needs Clinton and her supporters to beat McCain -- he needs her on the ticket to get more of her supporters to vote for him instead of staying home or voting for McCain. The polls make that very clear.

If you don't want her anywhere near the ticket, what consolation will getting the VP you wish for be in November if McCain is elected?

6. I'll vote for him no matter what.
I just think there are far better choices for the country. And yes, some people who are currently Obama supporters will not vote for him if she is on the ticket. I have two in my immediate family like that.

7. Don't kick your own thread.
It makes you look like a dumbass. People hid your thread because you make the same one a dozen times in a day.

Give it a fucking rest, already.

P.S.- Do you even take into consideration how many indies would be pissed off by a Hillary Clinton VP choice? I know a hell of a lot of them who would stay home or vote McCain. Luckily, the ones I know are in Illinois, so it wouldn't matter. I can't imagine it's just Illinois, though. We're not that different from the rest of the country.

P.P.S.- She'll be in Florida. That's it. Obama doesn't need any help in New York or California, and you know it.

10. What strengths? LOL!
She's the best choice to YOU but that doesn't mean Clinton actually is the 'best choice'. She'd be a disaster and the Obama campaign would have to spend hours defending some of her more...interesting remarks. Why bother with the hassle when there are better candidates available that won't have him looking over his shoulder for the next bullet? She would be great in the Senate serving the great state of New York.

11. She's strong among people who are hardcore Dems...a.k.a. People already voting for Obama.

She'd win Obama a DU-only GE, and that's about it.

13. Uhhh...18 millions votes enough of a "strength" for ya?
She would be an enormous boost to Obama.

14. They want to ignore the primary votes and all the evidence from polls.
Which indicate an Obama/Clinton ticket is our best chance of beating McCain.
