Clinton visits Florida to support Obama

Is Hillary Clinton fully behind expected nominee Barack Obama? Are her supporters?

Today should shed light on those questions as Sen. Clinton makes her first campaign appearances in Florida in support of Obama, the expected Democratic nominee.

Clinton, D-N.Y., will speak to sheet metal workers this morning in Orlando.

She then will lead a 1:30 p.m. rally in Florida Atlantic University and a late afternoon rally King's Point in Taramac, before finishing with a private fundraiser in Miami.

Clinton's visit comes as Obama is said to be close to announcing his choice of a running mate.

Florida Sen. Bill Nelson said Wednesday that Clinton should be the choice, but political analysts say they expect Obama to pick someone else.

Clinton has been criticized for not throwing her full support to Obama after the nomination was decided.

In announcing today's appearance by Clinton, the Obama campaign tried to put those questions to rest, saying that Clinton will talk with voters about why Obama is "the only choice for Floridians who want a president who will change the way Washington has worked for eight years under President George W. Bush."
