If Obama announces his choice tomorrow he is likely on the phone
tonight sometime to tell the shortlist prospects of his decision.

I am hoping a good biographer is accompanying the campaign and can reveal the behind-the-scenes glimpses of the campaign down the road some time.

7. grannie4peace, from the sounds of your original thread on
the Lynchburg event tonight here on DU, you are doing more than just watching.

You are putting your good spirit on the line for a good man at a crucial time. Thank you for going to that event and thank you especially for the GREAT post. I thought it kicked butt!

10. Thanks! It's permanent. So I avoid this place like the plague when it gets really nasty.
Which has been a LOT of the time this cycle. LOL

Olive groves sound peaceful. :)

13. Olive trees live more than a thousand years. I discovered an
affinity with them from my interest in the ancient world -- "in a world still new."

Hat's off to ya, good person.

8. Hi, beyurslf. If the Kansas call is a greenlight, I'm on board
heart and soul.

I think Governor Sebelius would be a dandy choice. No complaints!

12. Hey Condem. It's tough. I think Kaine and Biden are the finalists.
Edited on Wed Aug-20-08 09:28 PM by Old Crusoe
How 'bout you? How does it look from the Hawkeye State?

If you make a case for Richardson and Sebelius, though, or someone else, I'm just as open to that.

Obama has the sweet deep bench. McCain has to pick thru the discards at the State hospital.

15. It CANNOT be Sebelius.
That will piss off the Clinton people. Other than that, I honestly, don't have a clue. If those are the three finalists, I think were in deep shit.

17. Well, then, under that kind of analystic pressure, I predict it's
Gordon Lightfoot.

Posted that earlier today. Not a lot of takers so far!

He might piss off the heavy metal people, but other than them, I think he's hot stuff.

19. One last word on Gordon Lightfoot.
I really do love those recordings.

I can do the Stones and Rachmaninoff as well, but at certain times only a Lightfoot recording will do.

Of Lightfoot's music, Bob Dylan said, "When you hear one of his songs, you want it to last forever." As praise goes, I think that's pretty sturdy.

Another post or two is up on Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg. An angry crowd has gathered outside my house with torches, shouting angry and coarse phrases because I want her on the ticket.

Well, let them shout.

Another ten minutes and this bazooka will be fully loaded.

22. Somone suggested that he might not even call his choice until a
minute before he sends out the text message. it would certainly prevent leaks.

23. It would. But they have a Saturday gig in Springfield, so at some
point they'd have to get somebody on an airplane.

I guess if it was Evan Bayh he could just drive over.
