To the many people in various threads asking why Hillary (or any other high profile Dem) isn't our kicking McCain's ass, please be cognizant of how campaigns work.

No high-profile Dem free-lances running around kicking McCain's ass unless the Obama campaign asks them to.

That's how it works. During a campaign everyone in the party defers to the campaign's mode of presentation of the campaign's message.

The campaign apparently does not think it would be productive at this time. They may be right, may be wrong, but it's their call and it's absurd to blame any individual Dem who "hasn't been heard from lately..." If you are not seeing enough surrogates or they have what you think is the wrong message or tone, it comes from the top.

The Obama campaign is a very tight ship with only a small number of official surrogates.

1. The few times she's made a speech on Obama's behalf she could ....
......have dug into McCain far more.

That wouldnt take permission.

2. And you could have used
a higher proportion of your posts supporting democrats and not tearing them down.

3. I believe they want to get into the convention on a high note...
According to the polls today, they really need HRC to get her people on board with Obama.

4. Yes, they want to keep the focus on Barack for the time being
If Hillary was running around trashing McCain Obama would never be on the news. It would be the Hillary versus McCain show.
