People, just give it up. Please.
1) Barack can win without Hillary.

2) Not all (current or former) Hillary supporters think she should be on the ticket. Me, for example. There are very good reasons she SHOULDN'T be on the ticket.

3) Yes, Hillary has been attacking McCain. It just doesn't make good news coverage because people want to hate her.

4) She's not the Antichrist. That's our enemy. Oh, who is our enemy again? MCCAIN.

--------

The "dream ticket" is just that -- a dream. We can't have co-presidents. The Constitution just doesn't work that way.

There were some disgraceful moments in the primary, and as much as I love my girl I wanted to punch her several times. But she IS actively campaigning for Obama. I posted about her speech in Vegas. Did it get many views? No... it's just not juicy.

Now, please, can we get back to castigating the person who really deserves it?

1. Yes!
McCain is a dingleberry on the ass of the devil!

It rolls off the tongue, doesn't it? Spread it around.

2. Agreed, on all four points.
I like the Clintons; I am in their debt.

But it is now up to Obama.

Whoever Obama picks as a running mate, and I'm sure it will be a great choice, I will support the ticket.

That's what the party is all about; that's why he's the party's nominee.

3. it would be silly to pick her because people won't vote for him otherwise
if such people actually exist, they certainly aren't people who can be counted on in November. Given the closeness of Clinton's positions and Obama's positions and the difference between both of them and McCain, anyone who would vote for McCain if Obama's VP is, say, Biden, and vote for Obama if his VP is Hillary is voting for crazy irrational reasons. They'd find some other thing in November to be pissed off.

I like Hillary, although she wasn't ever my primary choice, and I'd be fine if Obama picked her (although he didn't), but he doesn't need her.

4. Agreeing with you!
Oh and I just read on another thread - well someone pulled up an old Freeper thread from 2000.

He's the Manchurian Candidate.

I believe in Barack. Not in the brainwashed Manchurian.

5. I supported Hillary in the primaries after Edwards dropped out. I was disappointed
when she did not win the nomination, but I had said since 2004 that the Democratic nominee had my vote in 2008, regardless who it was, which now makes me an Obama supporter although I readily admit that I'm not as entusiastic as many on this board are.

So now I sit here watching DUers argue over Obama's choice for VP and wondering what in the hell is going on. We can't influence Obama's choice and I can't imagine that it would cause any here to change their vote (other than the infiltrators that we seem to be blessed with lately). So, why are we fighting each other?

6. "It just doesn't make good news coverage because people want to hate her."
Maybe they could just stick her in a closet somewhere. The anti-Hillary crap is bordering on a fine line, already tipping for many, and trying to drag the rest with them. The faith in Obama's ability to make wise choices seems to have faded somewhat on this particular issue. I'm a Hillary supporter who's voting for the
OBAMA/ ? ticket. I may not like or agree with his choice, but I am not presumptuous enough to believe I'm in any position to make a wiser one. The final hand will probably be dealt tomorrow, and although I would have liked, and expected better odds this time around, come what may, I'm all in. Thanks.

8. Thanks for a reasonable post.
Some thrive on sowing fear and discord...we need to pass them by.
