Clinton can easily "take back" her "only has a speech" comment
republican ads will still show it, of course, but it wouldn't be hard to take back, should she be inclined.

She just has to say that she said that early in the campaign. Since then, she has spent months on the campaign trail during the primaries and saw first hand just was a solid grasp of foreign policy issues Obama has. She saw him go to the Afghanistan and Iraq and all over Europe and saw how world leaders respected him. She's had a chance to talk to him in depth about his plans for the future and she knows what a good president he'll make.

It seems simple to me.

1. She implied McCain is qualified and Obama is not MULTIPLE times. Not just once.
And they are all on video.

Cue the montage of her praising McCain for his 'lifetime of experience' and 'passing the commander in chief test' and we'll have weeks of fun MSM coverage of the GOP attack ads repeating those clips over and over.

6. Turn it over and play the hit side. It was the primaries.
George Herber W. Bush called Ronald Reagan's proposed economic plans "voodoo economics" and Reagan picked him and they won a landslide against a sitting president.

It was the primaries. This happens every four years.

It won't mean a thing.

11. Experience is McCain's issue, and those comments play RIGHT INTO his hands.
Not to mention the fact that, YES, Obama is still an unknown quantity to a certain degree. It sure as hell doesn't look good having the person who almost won the nomination talking like that about you.

13. She can't attack until Obama gives her the go ahead.
Edited on Wed Aug-20-08 07:40 PM by SIMPLYB1980
Same with Bill, the media is begging Obama to go negative. If they attack it will be seen as coming from Obama by the media . Give it time. After the convention.

27. no, not really. She gave a great speech endorsing him strongly
but it focused on domestic issues. Personally, I think she should say, I wasn't sure he had the experience, but he's shown me he does.

9. I bet they've already turned that into an ad.
Seriously. Why wouldn't they? It was like a gift. She wasn't just attacking her opponent in the primaries, that's normal, that happens, she was saying the REPUBLICAN nominee would make a better president than her opponent in the same party.

Fucking a.

but, if it hadn't been that, it would have been something else. The clips are unfortunately, but not irreparable.

I can post a link to the video if pressed to but the Clinton supporters here don't like it when I do that.

Out of respect I wil not post that link unless called out on the "link or lie" standard

14. She needs to say that Obama has proven that he has passed the commander-in-chief test.
That this campaign has proven to the American people that he is indeed qualified and ready to be president. She should do this in her speech next week.

16. If not for that STUPID move of hers, she'd be the top VP pick...
.
.

But she ran a shitty campaign and she trashed a fellow Democrat to such a degree that selecting her, makes it a major bonus for RETHUGS.
