She lost alot of points with me when she made that "Commander in chief test" comment. And telling people that Obama would make a great VP when Obama was leading delegates.

:(

3. She brings nothing, nothing to the table. "Her people" are not
really dems anyway. Can't wait to see the end of her, hope the last time I have to look at her is at the convention, and then I'm going to watch "Murder She Wrote" 'till she's gone.

I voted for Obama in the Virginia primary, but support Clinton for VP. Am I a "real dem"?
My friend voted for Clinton in the Virginia primary, but supports Obama now and would like Clinton as VP? Is he a "real dem"?

29. 18 million votes and not one Dem among them?
Your post is delusional. She's not my first pick for VP but to deny her appeal to democrats is stupid.

as in "person of loose" something or other.

Only a loser would have posted something like that. ;)

19. And of course your opinion counts so much more than that of delegates and superdelegates,
Edited on Wed Aug-20-08 01:49 PM by highplainsdem
who a CBS/NYT poll found favor Clinton over other possible VP choices by a wide margin -- and who believe (a majority of both delegates and superdelegates) that she'd help the ticket.

Obviously you need to email those poor people who know so much less about politics than you do, and explain to them why she'd be a bad choice for VP.

of the candidate, for that matter! Who is HE to be choosing a VP without consulting US?

23. Hillary didn't do what she needed to do to make herself a viable pick for V.P.
The V.P. spot was Hillary's to lose, and she lost it. She remade her political image in the middle of the primary season. She's great at being a political chameleon. She should have revamped her image one more time if she wanted to be V.P.. Here are just a couple of examples:

1. Reject PAC/lobbyist money. Obama announced the day after he became the presumptive nominee that the DNC would no longer accept PAC/lobbyist money. That they wouldn't fund his campaign. Can't exactly choose a V.P. that won't do the same. Is he going to tell people that he doesn't accept lobbyist money, but if you're a lobbyist feel free to donate to his campaign via his Vice President?

2. Gas tax holiday. Obama won that debate with the American people by about 30 points. Clearly he has effectively convinced people that it is a gimmick meant to get politicians through the next election, not to provide a real solution. Obama needs surrogates on board with him on this issue.

3. Persuade the Obama camp that the attacks she launched against Obama during the primary season would not be an issue during the general election. For example, what will her response be when the moderator asks her about the imaginary commander-in-chief threshold that Obama has not crossed? What about Obama's criticism of NAFTA during the Clinton administration? Hillary needs to prove that if she is V.P. her loyalty would be to Obama first and not to herself and Bill Clinton. Also, that lifetime of experience quote will be a problem as well. The vetting process for Hillary should include an interview where they ask her how she would respond to these types of questions.

24. If she is the choice, then from next week on
the entire republican campaign will be using her words and her ads against Obama.

It will make the shared ticket look opportunistic and duplicitous, make her look mean-spirited and two-faced, and make him look weak for choosing her.

It is a ticket guaranteed to lose.
